Painful ears when flying
-
To help relieve pain in the ears when the plane begins its descent, take Sudafed Tablets which are available without prescription at the Chemist. Start to take the tablets, as stated on the box, a couple of days before flying and time your " flying day dose " so that you take one Sudafed about half an hour before the plane starts the descent.Eveyone I have passed this tip on to say it works.

I had to fly 2-4 days a week for many years. THe quickest and easiest way to deal with painful ears is to pinch you nose and blow (gently) until your ears "pop" and the pressure is equalized.

I have had good luck just chewing gum when flying.
