Dried hairspray on curling irons

I have this bad habit of spraying my hair while it's in the grip of my curling iron. After time, this becomes a little caked. A good way to remove this is to wait until the curling iron is cooled right off and take a sharp paring knife or razor blade (be careful), then you can just wipe it off without getting a gooey mess.

You can also use alcohol on a cotton ball

Another thing that you can do is use a SOS (or any type scratchy pad) and when the curling iron is a cooler, you can use a bit of baking soda and water to scrub that hair spray right off.
